Snow report Jungfrau Region, 12/27/2014
Winter is finally here! Freeride literature tip for the Jungfrau Region: www.freerideguide.ch
Snow condition
Snow quality
Overall impression
Snow condition
Fresh snow at 2000m 80cm, in Grindelwald 20cm. However, on little to no base. Great caution is advised in stony areas. On steep slopes, grass often appears immediately after turns.
Snow quality
1A, above 2000m partly slightly windswept, but still very breezy. Hip-deep in the upper part, ankle-deep at the bottom.
Risks
Tricky. The big fresh snowfall was accompanied by strong winds. Connection to the old snow cover rather poor.
Overall impression
Now it finally has a base. The ski resort will probably soon be able to open all lifts and downhill runs, especially on the forecast ice days.

Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.
Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
