looks nice with the fresh snow, but it's not much and there was still dust on crust this afternoon. Forest is not an option anyway. Meadows are preferable, but it's not the case that you have to avoid stony terrain.
Snow quality
in the afternoon about 15 to 20cm of fresh snow. fine powder. on Birgitzköpfl without any wind flow. The wind vane at the top was also without any movement.

Today, the main danger in windless areas was still rock contact rather than a snow slab. However, as soon as wind comes into play and a slab is formed, the weak old snow must certainly be taken into account. We weren't close to the ridge, but caution is certainly advised there. Especially as drift snow may be snowed in beyond recognition.
Overall impression
Not much is really possible yet. 3 stars only because of the hope that the fresh snow will bring. Realistically, the conditions are still more like two stars.
