Exposition
Snow condition
In the meantime, a good base has formed in less exposed areas and allows for a number of downhill variants. Terrain with lots of rocks but still a shark hazard.
Snow quality
In the areas with less wind, the powder that fell 6 days ago has already built up again with dew points down to -30 the last few days. Still great to ride, but this means you sink deeper and deeper into the snowpack - choose the right terrain
Risks
Wind intensity: No Wind (0 km/h)
Unfortunately, the old snow problem still prevails, and you shouldn't ski lines that are too extreme. Due to the often missing board, the danger spots are no longer as frequent.
Overall impression
Nice afternoon tour in the Kalkkögel touring area. Even 6 days after the snowfall, the snow is still powdery due to the low humidity in all exposures that are not too strongly turned towards the sun. Where the sun was too strong, the snow is crusty. Unfortunately, there is no fresh snow in sight.
The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.
Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
