10 cm fresh snow
Descent to valley (to 1600 m)
Descent through forest
Stone Contact avoidable
Variations of snow cover

Slightly below average to average amount of snow for the time of year. Most of the variants can be skied without contact with stones, but the entrances are often rather stony or rocky.

Snow quality

2 von 5 Sterne
Breakable crust
Powder snow
Jelly snow

The snow quality varies greatly depending on the exposure. On slopes protected from the wind and sun, the powder holds up well and is nice and soft and pleasant to ski on. Everything that is exposed to the sun has a hard top and can be nasty, but softens up again towards the afternoon so that you can get down everywhere quite well.

Risks

Old snow problem
Diurnal warming
South

Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)

As we are only up to 2,400 m and almost everything here has been ploughed up, it is unfortunately not possible to say anything about dangers at the moment. According to the LWD, above 2,400 m there is a problem with old snow, which definitely needs to be taken into account. Below that, conditions are more favorable, especially for the standard variants.

Overall impression

2 von 5 Sterne
Worse

Finally found time for a tour again. It was only the Nockspitze with a descent via the northwest gully, but better than nothing. The gully itself is very rutted and hard in the upper, somewhat narrower part. Further down it is much softer and easy to ski despite the tracks. Everything where there are no tracks and much better on the north side (see CR from Powsearcher) but all in all a fine day.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!

Thank you for your contribution to the PowderGuide project!
