Overall little snow, rock ribs are exposed, mountain pines not snowed in. Although you can choose continuous tracks, they are limited.

Hard, pressed snow
Breakable crust
Wind drifted snow

Horrible. What was probably still powdery yesterday and especially the day before yesterday was destroyed today within 2 hours by a sudden hairdryer storm. Up to 5cm thick wind cover and breakage made the descent more of a compulsory program.

Abort the tour
Fresh avalanches
South

Wind intensity: Extreme (> 60 km/h)

Actually a 1 with the statement "the wind only carries a little snow". We can't confirm that. Locally (no snow plumes to be seen on the outside) there was massive snow transport with the consequence of large drift snow packs, one of which also came off (crack approx. 40cm). We therefore had to cancel the planned summit gully and the alternative saddle.

Avalanche activity

North

Dry slab avalanche

Equal

It was worth a try, but the much stronger hairdryer storm threw a spanner in the works. Rarely have we experienced such a blast. We were partly blown over when making hairpin bends.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
