Snow condition

35 cm fresh snow
Descent to valley (to 1000 m)
Descent through forest
Stone Contact avoidable
Variations of snow cover

Depends extremely on which orientation and what was before the snowfall, where there is a base it goes well, everywhere else (south and wind exposed) there is a high risk of sharks

Powder snow
Wind drifted snow

Here too it depends on the exposure and altitude, in shady slopes up to 1200 powder. Where there was sunshine, it was more like cardboard snow, the further down the heavier, tomorrow there could possibly be a cap.

Wind drifted snow

North-Eas East South-East South

Intensity: low

Above: 1500 m

Risks

Old snow problem
Diurnal warming
Much fresh snow
North North-Eas North-West

Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)

The wind has worked well above the tree line. Signs of wind are clearly visible and there is also loose snow. Apart from the old snow situation, this will hopefully stabilize soon.

Overall impression

4 von 5 Sterne
Worse

Who would have thought it, fun treeruns in the Karwendel. (To cheer) Outside of sunny slopes, the next few days should still be possible and in the long term, the touring season in spring could still be something. There was a lot of fresh snow and drifts at high altitudes and on carts.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
