Overall impression
Altitude
800 - 2500m
Avalanche warning level
low (1)
Exposition
Snow condition
Snow starts on the north side at about 1400m, on the south side it usually looks very bad and even above 2200m, depending on the steepness and slope, there is no consistent snow cover
Snow quality
With the right timing, you can ski good firn-like snow depending on the exposure and time of day. Due to the dry air, there was a load-bearing layer of harsch right up to the snow line. On the steep north side above 2100m there are still powder remains to be found
Risks
Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)
Risk of falling on the hard snow surface in the morning, otherwise very safe conditions
Overall impression
If you accept the approaches in the Karwendel, you can still find beautiful, secluded slopes. It will take a few more days, but the paths to the snow will soon become even longer.
The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.
Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
