Snow conditions are ok. At least no bare ice visible on the north face.

At the bottom a load-bearing cap, further up unfortunately no longer load-bearing, so that we got stuck in the swamp after 2/3 of the north face. On the descent, there was briefly broken snow, then a load-bearing cap with some loose snow on top.

Overall impression
Often described as a beginner's tour, I perhaps had the wrong attitude for this day. I had imagined a relatively short ascent (800m is not that much). But as the snow got softer and deeper, it took longer and longer...
Where we turned around, it was 48° and after that it would have split up considerably, certainly to more than 50°. The north face is indicated with max. 50°. All that remains is another attempt in better snow conditions...
