You can just about get down to the road at Gepatschhaus with a few meters in between on foot. Compared to many other areas, it has hardly snowed in the Kaunertal this week.
Snow quality
Best snow at the top at about 3000m. Nice powder almost all the way down into the valley. At the bottom, however, the snow was very heavy by midday.
Risks
According to the LLB warning level 3 above 2800 m, below that level 1-2. The drift snow problem was not present here. Further down in the valley, however, the snow was already quite settled and there were some slides. You shouldn't be out much later than 12 o'clock at the moment. The descent was north to northwest
Overall impression
Very cool tour today followed by a climbing session :) What more could you want! Downhill pictures to follow
