Sluff management is important. A lot of loose snow comes along. On sunny slopes there are also wet slides, but in our case they never got big

Tracks are hard work from 35 degrees There was about 25 cm of fresh snow on the north side on a powdery base. Went down via the Gepatschferner Munich variant. The Gepatsch Tongue seemed less snow-covered and crevassed. You can get down to the parking lot in the Kaunertal valley by taking off your skis twice and carrying about 20 meters. That won't be possible for long. But at the moment there is still good snow on this variant. Weißseespitze north face would have tempted us but at the moment there are better lines with better snow. Skiing too steeply is not advisable at the moment due to sluff activity. Better to wait a few days for the snow to hold better. If there's some more snow, it could still be possible for a few weeks. 25 cm of powder in May is a good start.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
