Snow condition
There is only snow from about 3000m upwards. But there is still snow all the way up there. On the Gepatsch Glacier, the crevasses are still largely closed.
Snow quality
In the morning, the snow quality was probably still reasonably good. A few people went up the north face early in the morning. But by half past nine it was already very sultry in the temperatures.
Risks
Low. You only have to be careful of small wet snow slides on very steep terrain.
Overall impression
Beautiful touring day. The view up there makes you want to get back on your skis.
