Snow condition
In the upper part of the ski area, one or two turns can be skied off-piste. Above approx. 2500 m, you can probably venture further into the terrain on the north side. Below that, I think there are too many stones and other traps. Visually, it looks very wintry. There is enough snow for skiing.
Snow quality
Fine powder in all expos in the morning. During the day only on the snow side. Heavy cardboard on the sunny side up to over 3000 m.
Risks
Slight wind influence is recognizable from 2800 m. There was hardly anything to see below that. Over the course of the day, many loose snow slides came loose from very steep terrain. Blasting sequences were clearly visible on the glacier. Crack height approx. 50 cm+.
Overall impression
Okay for the first ski day of the season. Too many training groups for my taste. Even with these relatively small crowds, you get the feeling that there is no "Corona" on the mountains. A descent can be made with difficulty in the terrain. But below 2500 m it's pointless for me. The prospects for more fresh snow are rather bleak.
