On average, 60cm of new snow has fallen. Snow station Hochhörndl had indicated 70cm of new snow, this is more in the upper range. Snow is unevenly distributed, wind influence down into the valley. We were on the east side, good here, on the opposite slope on the west side it didn't look good.

Very nice and cold and great to ride, but it's not champagne.

Risks

We didn't find it very critical today. Of course, we were on the road defensively. The positive thing is that there was actually no basis before the snowfall. But be careful, there are exceptions. We found a place with a build-up. Cracks here too. Otherwise wind influence down to low altitudes, but the drift snow is often covered by snow that has fallen without wind influence. Throughout the day, cracks and settling noises were repeatedly heard. However, with very defensive behavior and adapted steepness, you can still have fun.

Overall impression

We actually wanted to go to the Fieberbrunn area. But with the crowds at the parking lot, we changed our plans to tours. With a public holiday and the first nicer day, the crowds were somehow to be expected. We were all alone, which was also nice. The weather was worse than forecast. But for the most part you can still get through on the ground. Had 2 slopes without contact. Therefore 3 and not 4 stars
