Snow condition

Descent to valley (to 900 m)
Descent through forest
Blown backs

The fresh snow from last weekend has settled well. In the denser forest there is still a bit of snow to ski harmoniously. On the sunny side, you should still watch out for terrain traps (streams, holes, etc.).

Snow quality

3 von 5 Sterne
Hard, pressed snow
Breakable crust
Powder snow
Wind drifted snow

Surprisingly good. Wind influence is easy to recognize and can be avoided without any problems. Only a few meters were properly capped by wind influence or by a thin crust on the sun side, the rest was absolutely fine.

Intensity: medium

Altitude: 1400 m – 1900 m

Risks

Wind intensity: No Wind (0 km/h)

Old sliding snow cracks are now halfway snowed in again and are not easy to recognize in poor visibility. Accumulations of drift snow can be recognized very well and can be avoided. Fortunately, the forecast NW-westerly wind did not arrive today while we were out and about.

Overall impression

3 von 5 Sterne
Equal

Despite the great weather of the last few days, you could still get good lines in the area with skins and with solid snow conditions in the best weather without wind.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
