Variations of snow cover

Little snow overall. Little to no base on the south side and sometimes very high risk of stone contact. Slightly better on the north side, although not outstanding, but still very below average compared to the rest of the year. Thanks to the toboggan run, however, it is possible to ski down to the car.

Snow quality

1 von 5 Sterne
Hard, pressed snow
Breakable crust
Firn
Jelly snow

Very changeable snow quality. Everything in the sun is very hard at first, but softens visibly as the day progresses and is almost firn-like. On shady slopes, extremely variable between lots of powder covered by rain and short, better patches. The rain cover is a little annoying overall, but still skiable.

Risks

South South-West

Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)

The main danger with the hair dryer will soon be drift snow. Currently little snow and few obvious danger spots. Always bear stone contact in mind.

Overall impression

Worse

Beautiful day in the sun with easy ridge scrambling, steep gully and good views. That makes up for the little and not so good snow. Overall, however, it definitely needs another big precipitation event.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
