Snow conditions: 3 starsLike the last few days, it depends heavily on the exposure. The east and northeast slopes were good, like the last few days, so you can ski there without hesitation. Today, however, the north and north-west slopes had more snow than yesterday and the day before. Nevertheless, we had a lot of contact with the enemy near the ridge, so you still have to ski very carefully there.

Wow! We skied slopes between east and northwest and had settled powder everywhere (about 15 cm deep) which was super even to ski. Today every turn was exactly the same and predictable, perfect conditions for accelerating and jumping. On the east side from about 1550m the snow was a bit heavier, but still great to ski.

Risks

On the east side, some steeper stuff had already been done from the same valley, and there were no chutes or anything similar to be seen from the opposite slope. Today there was more wind than the last few days, there were small snow plumes on the summits and tracks were slightly covered in snow. But we didn't see much new snow.

Overall impression

4 von 5 Sterne

Very nice (for now) last day of touring in the Kitzbühel Alps. If anyone is planning this tour for the next day: In my opinion, the ascent track from the northwest is not optimally laid down in the forest, over longer passages you go a maximum of 5 meters between two hairpin bends. It was still possible today, but with the track soon to become even more slippery, it will be a rather dubious pleasure.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
