Snow condition
Lots of snow throughout from the parking lot to the Weißkopfkogel. On south-facing slopes, the snow cover is already more reduced, the ground is only visible due to avalanches.
Snow quality
In shady areas, as well as in lower elevations in the forest, a thick layer of harsh snow. At higher altitudes on the south side, the cover firns up around midday, and in some places the snow cover is completely soaked. Nevertheless, it is still mainly crushed harsh snow with a layer of powder underneath. In permanently shaded areas there is even a minimal amount of powder.
Risks
Sliding snow avalanches very likely on the south side in steeper areas.
Overall impression
Very successful ski tour, no major obstacles, but you have to be prepared for difficult downhill conditions.
