Snow condition
The snow conditions are slowly improving - compared to last Sunday, the conditions have improved significantly. The descent to the parking lot is possible without any problems and it's also good in the forest up to an altitude of 1200m. From 1500m the base is a solid 80cm - 1m. From the tree line onwards it is variable due to the wind - but even here it is easy to avoid stone contact. However, the information relates to the north sector - we have not tried the south side.
Snow quality
The strong wind has unfortunately affected the snow quality. The great, light snow from last week is no longer to be found. Above the tree line about 20cm of nice powder on wind cover. Below that (tree line) no tops but much heavier snow. Overall very nice to ski - therefore 3 stars.
Risks
The critical situation of the last few days with the warning of a "tense" threesome requires careful route selection. We only went about 200m above the tree line in very moderate, hilly terrain. Other groups, however, all followed standard routes. No avalanches or self-triggers were observed. As we were mainly in the altitude range of the tree line, I did a snow cover test (ECT) there (1700m, east, 35°). This showed a very stable snowpack structure (no result). There were no weak layers to be found and the bond to the harsch foundation is good. This is now approx. 70cm below the surface (see picture). surface (see picture). Despite these positive results, I would still be very careful further up, especially because of the massive wind influence.
Overall impression
Best mountain weather and still very nice snow - with sufficient stability.
