Nach Unsicherheiten am frühen Morgen war das gewählte Ziel doch nicht schlecht

Overall impression
Snow condition
Until this morning there was an average of around 20 cm. We were mainly out and about in the altitude range from 900 m to just under 2000 m. In wind-protected, higher forest areas, the amount of fresh snow was approaching 30 cm. If the wind would take a break during the snowfalls, you could award the 5th star. Areas exposed to the wind, ridges and summit regions are still not particularly well covered with snow.
Snow quality
On the north side, there was no penetration of the old snow cover and the snow was still really dusty. On the sunny side, you could feel the base from around 1350 m. However, we were mainly on the north side today, which just about manages 4 stars.
Risks
There was fresh drift snow near and far from the ridge, which was also quite easy to disturb. Especially on steeper terrain edges, the fresh snow slid quite quickly for a few meters. Due to the current situation, we were quite defensive again. There was a lot of sluff again, especially on the north side. The wind was active throughout the day, especially in the summit regions. We were unable to observe any sliding snow activity today.
Overall impression
Drived to the starting point with a slight doubt as to whether we should have decided differently in terms of destination. Nevertheless, it turned out to be a fine and relaxed day of powder skiing.
