Still not much snow in the Kitzbühel Alps

Snow condition
We were out and about today in the altitude range from just over 1900 m to just under 1000 m with a north-easterly exposure. Below approx. 1250 m, the snow is already quite thin and you have to see how best to get down to the valley without major damage. On the sunny side, the situation looks even worse. The old snow cover is simply very thin for February.
Snow quality
Better than expected. Nice set powder on our descent. Only a few meters at the entrance had a cap and on the last few meters of the descent the snow was already wet in the sunny terrain.
Risks
Quite relaxed on our venture today. However, we could see two older self-releases on a steeper east-facing slope (transition from little to more, see picture). On a few shady meters in the ascent, there was about 15 cm to 20 cm of converted snow under a thin crust on the hard old snow cover, which was very easy to disturb. Relaxed here today, a potential problem zone after the next snowfall (altitude range around 1900 m). Due to the warm temperatures, the problem of sliding snow should not be underestimated. LWS low.
Overall impression
A nice day with solid snow. Pure sunshine and no wind, only the snow cover leaves something to be desired.
