Snow condition

Edit The snow conditions are okay from an altitude of around 1000 meters. Below that, however, it is slowly turning green again, especially on south-facing slopes. From about 1500m it's actually quite good. No stone contact or anything like that. It also looks okay on the summits. The wind has probably not been so strong here recently.

Snow quality

Everything was really there today. Powder is rarely found and when it is, it's on the north side. However, with the right planning, the first firn descents are now easily doable.

According to the LLB, warning level 2 today. Towards the afternoon, warning level 3, an assessment I would share. The snow cover made a good impression. Even at midday the snow was still hard or slightly firny, so the warm temperatures weren't a problem here. The snow only became heavy from around 1200m upwards and you should watch out for wet snow slides here. Unfortunately, there were once again a few groups on the way in single file (as you can see in the last picture). You'd think there was no room up here.

Overall impression

Beautiful day. Only the snow quality could have been a bit better.
