Hardly any change in the Kitzbühel Alps. Wind-protected north faces have a sufficient base, wind-exposed ridges and ridges are more or less free of snow and sunny areas with a thin layer of snow are already starting to thin out again below approx. 1450 m.
Snow quality
We were only on the north side and there we found nice powder snow. With the help of skins, we were still able to find quite good untracked or barely tracked terrain.
Risks
Wind intensity: No Wind (0 km/h)
Critically assess transitions from far too little snow. There are also some atypical snow deposits in the terrain.
Overall impression
Better than expected in terms of snow quality and untracked terrain.
