Snow condition
You can ski down to approx. 1000 m without any major problems. Things look different on the south side, of course. Downhill runs are associated with walking times and these are now getting longer every day.
Snow quality
Surprisingly good if you are traveling in the right exposure. West faces were frozen as hard as a rock in the morning. South-facing exposures were already starting to firn up. East and north faces were quite nice in areas protected from the wind. Set powder snow with a layer of frost, fun to ski.
Risks
Quite relaxed in moderate terrain. Classic spring conditions in the sunny exposures and in the valley.
Overall impression
Nice father-son ski tour in great weather and much better snow quality than expected.
