Short reason: Really still in order. You can still reach the valley on the north/east side without any major problems. Wildschönau: From about 1400m there is still enough snow to be able to ski down without stone contact. Below that it slowly gets narrow. On the south side, however, it is now really poor and it is hardly possible to ski down. But really okay for mid-March

We found beautiful set powder in both areas and of course beautiful firn. It only got really slushy from about 1300m upwards.

Risks

Relatively relaxed. According to the LLB warning level 1, which I would confirm. The snow cover made a good impression. Avalanches or similar were not visible. The temperatures were also relatively cold, so the risk of wet snow avalanches was rather low.

We had two very nice days and found some really nice powder! The last two pictures are from Wildschönau, the rest were taken on Saturday in Kurzer Grund.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
