Snow condition

The snow conditions in the Kitzbühel Alps are still good. Today we were able to ski down to around 1000 m without any problems. Only pure south-facing slopes no longer look so inviting at lower altitudes. However, forest paths are being cleared and terrain obstacles such as streams etc. are slowly appearing.

Snow quality

In the morning it was well frozen and we skied down to about 1950 m on the east side at around 10:15 am. The upper part was nicely firned up and as the altitude dropped it got a bit deeper (approx. 1300 m).

Risks

The main danger on today's tour came from the daytime course. With the sunshine and the "summer" temperatures, the snow cover becomes damp quite quickly. Start early and finish your activities early.

Overall impression

Beautiful weather, hardly any wind and solid downhill conditions. The snow cover looks quite interesting with the rain.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
