Blown backs

Went looking for firn again today with lift support and skins. Unfortunately, the snow conditions on the south side look very poor. Below 1500 m, it's getting very thin and the bare areas predominate. With a few increasingly smaller patches of snow between the apery areas, you can still get up to 1400 m (depending on the line, you may have to carry your skis a few meters). Downhill runs (Expo Ost, 900 m) only work on pistes. Today a purely sunny assessment.

Jelly snow

Beautiful firn in the morning! From later in the morning or around midday, the snow becomes too wet and deep.

Risks

Crevasse or fall danger
Diurnal warming

Wind intensity: No Wind (0 km/h)

Classic spring conditions: start early and end activities early (low LWS in the morning, moderate LWS in the afternoon).

Worse

Another beautiful firn morning in the area with skins. Unfortunately, the spring-like temperatures have more or less put an end to south-facing activities for this winter.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
