Tour into the Schneekar is still possible from the Jägerwirt parking lot on skis. But it's getting thin with the warmth and soon you'll have to carry a bit. The rest of the tour is still very snowy!
Snow quality
Changeable and a bit of everything. We left at 11 a.m.: parts of the slope on the shaded side were still frozen hard, everything else was super fine firn.
Risks
Pay attention to the time of day when it warms up; start early, be ready early. On the south side, moisture penetration is quick; for us, departure between 10 and 11 was ideal.
Overall impression
If you time it well, then the south side of the Kaiser has top firn conditions and nothing stands in the way of steep tours. Unfortunately, avalanche boulders are in the way here and there and it was tough in shady areas. Nevertheless, the dream weather was awesome.
