Snow condition
There was enough snow from the parking lot (800m), no carrying passages. It will stay that way for the foreseeable future. All the gullies and cirques in the Kaiser are still full of snow.
Snow quality
Everything was rock hard in the morning. But the thick layer of harsh snow quickly fanned out due to the sunlight. However, there were many icy patches until the afternoon. Crampons are recommended, especially for the ascent. In the shade, there was a mixture of powder snow and blocks of ice
Risks
South side dangerous due to heavy soaking, north side still fine.
Overall impression
Into the Grießnerkar to the Fritz-Pflaum Hütte, or in any of the embrasures, still brilliant touring conditions.
