Typical for the season. You have to carry it over the forest, then you can go on skis with a short interruption. Carrying 100 m further over the mountain pines is also possible on the summer trail, which saves you the hassle of getting on and off.

Snow quality

Summer firn, still nice and hard on the ascent at dawn and descent at 8:00 a.m., probably doesn't soften up much during the day either. Quite bumpy to ride and interspersed with small stones from the walls; the full-throttle times are over.

Risks

Isolated wet loose snow slides from the steep faces and gullies. If you want to do steeps, don't leave it too late.

Overall impression

Nice breakfast tour to the Goinger Törl, early summer has dashed hopes of an extra-long late season. But I think it will stay like this for a while yet. But if you're not too shy to carry 500 m of skis, you'll definitely be rewarded at the top of the Griesner Kar.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
