Really ok for June, then after 45 minutes of carrying, buckle up at the tree line. Then continuous snow cover.

Summer firn. Apparently unpleasantly hard with the early birds in the morning, but easy to walk on when I started at 8.30, very compact and soft on the surface. In the gully on the descent at 12.00 a little slushy on the surface, but not critical.

Risks

The greater danger is currently rockfall, but there was none. There are edge fissures on the rock and a large sliding crack in the gully. Avalanches are already down, there is hardly any snow on the rock faces.

Fine weather window. It was nice, but I couldn't escape the heat, at times it was a real sauna feeling. Compared to a normal end of winter in April, real loneliness, about 10 people on the mountain today. My last ski tour until further notice ... well, that's what I thought on the last 5 tours...

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
