Exposition
Snow condition
Approx. 20 cm of fresh snow. On the sunny side, it will be quite thin below 1400 m in places. With the announced warm phase, it will become very, very thin there. Good access to the valley on the north side. The terrain is quite undulating, especially on the sunny side.
Snow quality
Depending on the altitude range and exposure, the fresh snow is either on broken snow, a frozen base or a wet base. Most of the turns were fine, just three stars. On the sunny side, the snow became damp over the course of the day.
Risks
Wind intensity: No Wind (0 km/h)
There are numerous sliding snow cracks. Some of these are directly behind the edges of the terrain and are not always easy to see. Accumulations of drift snow have remained within limits. There was no wind today.
Overall impression
Lift-assisted touring in perfect weather and the snow conditions were still quite good for the morning. Once again, we took advantage of the conditions before the heat.
