Snow report Kitzsteinhorn, 02/24/2017
Variantenfahren im Gebiet mit ganz brauchbarem Neuschnee.

Overall impression
Snow condition
Quite bad for the end of February. Although all variants in the direction of Langwied are skiable, passive skiing is sometimes necessary to avoid contact with stones. Especially in this hilly terrain, the snow cover changes very quickly from sufficient to much to little. The snow conditions in the direction of the Glockner group don't look inviting either.
Snow quality
On average, there was around 20 cm of cold fresh snow, which fell with hardly any wind influence. The first few hours were great, then it got a little heavier on the east side.
Risks
Quite relaxed here in the lower area today. There was some blasting in the area in the morning in the upper area. It's difficult to say whether these were successful as we were hardly out and about in this area. From midday onwards, there were small loose snow slides on steeper slopes with lots of sunshine. From time to time you could see a few snow flags in the summit regions.
Overall impression
Nice runs in the morning. However, as is usually the case, the terrain was tracked quite quickly.
