Powder cruising in the whiteout on the Kitz
Snow condition

Overall impression
Snow condition
Around 40 cm of fresh snow fell overnight on the glacier and around 25 cm in the direction of Langwied. Fortunately, this fell without any major wind influence. Pretty much all variants are possible on the Kitz. You should be careful on the edges of the terrain, as the surface where the wind has been at work all winter is not particularly good. The base is below average for this point in the season.
Snow quality
Fine cold powder! Super nice to ride and there were plenty of face shots. However, there are deductions because you kept hitting a hard surface in the direction of Langwied.
Risks
The fresh snow lies on a hard base that was often frozen. Until yesterday evening, the storm had a massive impact on the Kitz. I would strongly advise against steeper activities! In the morning there was a lot of blasting in the area. During the course of the day, we were able to recognize small loose snow slides from steep terrain (there was some light for a short time). Under the frozen layer, we could see some angular crystals. My friend heard the saying of the day in the lift: "Today is only a 3-person day, so we can ski off-piste without equipment...."
Overall impression
Much better than expected! We were more or less on our own until later in the morning and were therefore always able to pick up virgin lines! Unfortunately there was hardly any visibility, which on the one hand led to a cautious riding style and on the other hand there are no moving pictures due to the lack of visibility.
