The snow conditions this year are significantly better than last year in October. The slopes above the Alpincenter are in good condition. In the morning there was about 5 cm of fresh snow on the slopes. Unfortunately, there was a mix of rain and sleet up to around 2400 m today and the foehn of the last few days has certainly also prevented better snow conditions. But we can be quite satisfied for October. But we still need a lot more snow for real off-piste activities.

Quite nice to ride in the morning, but the snow got heavier as the day progressed.

Risks

The main danger at the moment is from rocks and crevasses. See also the fatal accident last week (fall into a crevasse).

Due to the bad weather, it was fortunately a little less busy today. So we were able to enjoy the first turns of what will hopefully be a very long and good winter.
I wish everyone an accident-free winter and, above all, stay healthy!

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
