Off-piste skiing is currently only possible on the Schmiedingerkees. However, this is groomed like a piste. All other variants require a lot of snow or, in other words, a fresh start in winter. The piste to Langwied is open thanks to artificial snow-making facilities.

Snow quality

The pistes are hard, sometimes icy (descent to Langwied) and the "piste terrain" is a mix of hard snow, drifting snow, ice and hard sections. All in all, perfect training conditions for technique exercises.

Risks

The main danger in the area at the moment is from crevasses and rocks/rocks. An old small snow slab was visible on the Großer Schmiedinger (this probably came down during the Föhn period).

Overall impression

2 von 5 Sterne

It was a pretty sunny day and the crowds were quite manageable today. A bit of technique training doesn't hurt, especially in the pre-season.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
