Snow condition
It does collect in sheltered valleys. Last weekend 10cm, yesterday 10cm. As it has a base, this is the best snow situation of the winter. You can even get down the steep south-facing slope below the Grünhorn with its sparse forest and lots(!) of alders. A slow slalom, but without damaging your equipment. I wouldn't have thought so. It started to snow lightly late in the afternoon.

Snow quality
Predominantly great powder. Now and then you get through to the crust, but it's not a problem. Steeper slopes in the southeast and south will have a light cap tomorrow. As it has moved in at midday, this should not be very pronounced. Drift snow and broken snow only on ridges. Below 1600m it got quite heavy on the south side in the afternoon, especially in the open forest and in the alders, but no leg-breaking snow yet.
Wind drifted snow
Intensity: low
Above: 1500 m
Risks
Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)
On the north side, in the areas that don't see the sun all day, there are booming noises every few meters, you can even see the snow cover sagging in places. The snow profile shows at least 3 distinct crusts/ice lamellae. Under the first crust, as seen from the surface, there is a break, and quite easily at that. Nevertheless, I haven't seen any avalanches and even on steep slopes, nothing has come along, not even loose snow. The old snow problem is definitely there, but I think the areas where something would actually go off are relatively small. I would be cautious with overly large and steep gullies and slopes
Overall impression
As you can now make lines in good snow with a base, without stone contact, this was the best day of the season from all points of view. That's why I give it an extra star.
