It works, but it doesn't work very well... Enough snow from the parking lot. It gets a bit more problematic at the top. I had relatively little contact with stones, but when I did, it was unexpected and with large stones. On the way back we met two other guys who skied the Elferrinne, but it didn't go very well either.

Best in terrain not affected by wind and sunlight between approx. 2000 meters and the parking lot. There 10 cm of nice powder on a hard base. At the top on the shaded side (e.g. Ochsenloch) powder with a more or less pronounced cap. As was very aptly written here a few days ago: "Good skiing when actively standing on skis" and definitely fun to ski. On the south-west side, we caught a great slope towards Mindelheimer Hütte at half past eleven. The top had melted away again and we had fast, wet powder. The south-facing descent from the Liechelkopf had not yet firned up at 11 o'clock, but there was just enough snow cover.

Risks

Largely stable conditions. We triggered the wet surface on the south-west side, which can be unpleasant in certain places. On the north side, we skied a gully with 35 to 40 degrees, which was stable.

Quite a lot of activity in the area. There must have been 40 people on the Liechelkopf throughout the day. The standard routes and other obvious descents are all groomed and mostly tracked, we were out early and had a great round with some great descents. With the weather forecast, we'll soon be looking for firn.
