Exposition
Snow condition
Still extremely dependent on exposure and altitude. The fresh snow last week only brought a real improvement where there was already enough snow before. There you can now speak of an acceptable snow situation and get down without stone contact. Where there was already snow, there is still not enough. The forecast warmth towards the end of the week will quickly make things worse again.
Video
Snow quality
In sheltered areas top powder on a pleasant base, where the sun reached yesterday there's a cap and in exposed areas the hard base is often exposed. But as we were mainly in Expo N, 4 stars.
Risks
Wind intensity: Medium (20 – 40 km/h)
Some sluff on extremely steep slopes. Favorable conditions for steep stuff. The wind has picked up in the afternoon and is creating new drift snow.
Overall impression
Super day with steep gullies.
