SEASON 2019/20 the amount and quality of snow is still best in the small Walsertal. Best conditions from Baad / Wildental / Gemsteltal - good downhill runs into the valley. A lot of snow was "blown away by the wind" on the mountain in Kammlangen

Snow quality

3 von 5 Sterne

East and north expos above 1500 meters 20 - 30 cm of fresh snow / settled powder on a firm base in wind-calm areas Tip Topp partly light wind cover on it but good to ride with Schmackes. Where the wind and sun had an influence, there was currently a lid on top or towards midday it was stumpy and boggy.

Risks

Not quite so tricky - snow was partly transported by wind = drift snow

Overall impression

Going out very early again - because you have to take this kind of snow with you. Those who were early were able to get some great lines. Nice day with sun and good powder fun. In east and north facing slopes snow above 1500 meters in wind calm areas tip top light wind cover on it but good to ride with smack. Pictures (c) Martin Hölle Photography

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
