Almost like Groundhog Day. Again approx. 20cm of fresh powder on a load-bearing surface. Mountain pine passages are also feasible. Free choice of route and valley descent possible almost without restrictions. Pure south-facing slopes and high forest are the exceptions here ...

It was quite cold today, so the fresh powder was well preserved, at least on the north-facing slopes. The snow remained on the trees in the shade, even in the valleys. Quite heavy in the sun. Hardly any wind loads observed, almost everything skiable without a lid.

Risks

The aforementioned loose snow slides in the sun. No major wind loads (not even in the ridges) observed below 2400m. No major snow slides were triggered either on the south-facing ascent or on the descent. I think the Vorarlberg Dreier was rather defensively published today, at least in the Wilden and Gemsteltal valleys.

Great powder day, used for an unusual ski tour.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
