Snow condition
Outstanding. Thanks to the comfortable situation, some north-facing gullies and steep slopes (compared to last season) can be skied with pleasure. Sufficient snow right down to the valley at 1,200m!
Snow quality
On Friday it rained briefly and heavily at around 4 pm. Fortunately only up to about 1,700m! Below that it was completely wet. At the top there was 1-2cm of snow, so we got off lightly. The slopes spoiled by the shade are still very good to ski between ~ 1,700m and 2,000m! It's around 15cm-20cm quite unbound, on a compressed base. South-facing slopes have a spring character: you can also have fun there from ~ 11am.
Risks
South-facing slopes must be avoided as the temperature rises during the day! The mouths on the Ifen are getting bigger by the hour. Where cracks can be seen, I would definitely give them a wide berth. Throughout the day, small slides could be observed again and again. Even if tracks run along underneath such cracks, you can only advise caution.
Overall impression
Blue skies, gullies in the northern slopes with loose snow, soft southern slopes in the afternoon. If you are careful and plan your day well, you can still have a lot of fun!
