Snow condition
Still below average, and that's not going to change. You reach the valley.
Snow quality
Mei. Rather damp fresh snow on a soaked base, which still comes through hard, especially at the bottom. Very strange. It should be easy to ride at the top, but unfortunately the ground visibility was zero zero.
Risks
LLB 3, at the back on Arlberg 4, I couldn't recognize any danger spots because of the poor visibility. Heavy snowfall at the top with a strong wind. I'll be honest and admit that I can't assess the situation at all. Big wet snow slides in February. The wet snow cover. Huge cornices, big mouths of snow. Rain and strong winds again and again.
Overall impression
Reversed before the summit. Poor visibility. Snow worse than expected. In the morning it was probably even better with some visibility. I wonder how it will be tomorrow. When will it really be winter again? I do have two questions to ask now: What kind of fashion is it that people are rutting into the ascent track in heaps? Not even next to it, but right in the middle of it. And when the tour booklet says "Descent like ascent", this does NOT mean that you should ski down IN the ascent track and leave a bomb crater every five meters...
