From Baad it's actually quite good, you can get up and down without strapping in. Above approx. 1500 m good. Pure open south-facing slopes, however, are wide open at around 1800 m.
Snow quality
Above 1600m in the northern sector nice to ski with about 15cm of fresh snow. You can feel the base, but it's not very annoying.
Risks
Drift snow is the main problem, but more favorable than expected, wind in the morning also not yet stormy. The two-person was a good fit imho. There was a lot of sluff on the steeper sections. Of course, the situation will have to be reassessed tomorrow.
Overall impression
Good day with nice weather, wind ok, stable enough powder and my crew is grand cru. Subjectively, there's just under a fourth star.
