Bombastic start to the season! Ski tour Höferspitze from Baad.

Snow condition
Sufficient. Assumed to carry out from the Bärgunthütte at the end. But only carried for 2 minutes at the beginning of the forest. On the dirt track below, however, there were a few centimetres of hard snow that was enough to ski on. In the lowest approx. 150 m of the slope, the base was thin and there was some ground contact in places, I got a pretty deep scratch there. Above that, there was only half a meter of snow at most, but a firm base at the bottom. So we were able to accelerate and jump without hesitation at the top :-)
Snow quality
In the parts of the slope that get a bit more sun, it's a nasty, hardpacky surface. With a good choice of track, however, nice powder, approx. 15-20 cm :-) From approx. 1500 meters onwards, there's a layer of hardpack everywhere.
Risks
Lots of slippery snow mouths, some of which are starting to crack today. In places it has already slipped completely, but that was never much. There is some drift snow near the ridge, but we don't think it was dramatic. After the snowfall with wind from tomorrow, it will probably be trickier.
Overall impression
Three great lines on the summit slope and skied over 1400m. I had a much worse start to the season :-) The descent to the car was very cool at this time of year.
