Stone Contact avoidable

Above 1500m, the snow conditions are very good for the time of year, as confirmed by the measuring stations at this altitude. But even without statistics it is good there. You still have to ski around alders etc., but where they are not, you can really let it rip on a good surface. You have to be a bit careful downhill, but you can get down into the valley without touching the ground. The fact that it rained briefly up to around 1800m before the last snowfall has created a firm surface that makes for quite carefree riding. The picture of the bank is at 1350m, there about 40--50 cm, at the top then estimated up to 80cm snow depth

Wind drifted snow

It dusts very nicely, even if the wind has worked a little. The combination with the firm base is still worth 4 stars to me. Hoar frost quickly near the valley.

Intensity: low

Above: 1000 m

Risks

Much fresh snow

Wind intensity: No Wind (0 km/h)

I was on the way up to just over 40° and apart from some drift snow, I didn't see any acute signs of danger. There was probably a medium-sized loose snow avalanche in one part of the slope yesterday. Perhaps this prevented the formation of a larger slab, as the wind has not been sufficient for large accumulations of drift snow since yesterday.

Worse

Insanely good start to the tour! I've never stepped on the gas like I did today all last winter. The full stoke is there, and I was briefly inclined to give it 5 stars :-)
