Snow condition

10 cm fresh snow
Descent to valley (to 2000 m)
Variations of snow cover

There is currently very little snow off-road and there are still a lot of stones sticking out. Still far too little for descents without the handbrake, but if it were to snow again, there would at least be a good base. But unfortunately that's all subjunctive.

Snow quality

2 von 5 Sterne
Hard, pressed snow
Breakable crust
Powder snow

Where the snow is in the shade and still untouched, it is really good to ski. Unfortunately, these places are very limited. Everything that is sunny and steep has a more or less light cover.

Risks

Wind intensity: No Wind (0 km/h)

The main danger at the moment is the old snow problem reported in the LWD and the stones. Particular attention must be paid to the latter, as they sometimes lurk under a light layer of snow and are therefore easy to overlook.

Overall impression

2 von 5 Sterne
Worse

Quite ok for one of the first days, of course nothing earth-shattering and definitely better snow. Nevertheless, I got an overview and came to the conclusion that we need a lot more snow. Nevertheless, in addition to off-piste runs, a run on groomed but empty slopes due to the lack of lift operation wasn't too bad.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
