Snow condition
In the northern sector, the snow is usually (i.e. not everywhere!) sufficient to avoid having to think about stones. However, you should still be aware of where the wind may have blown the base free before the last fresh snow. In the southern sector, the base below 2200 is rather thin and you have to be careful.
Snow quality
The wind was less intense in Kühtai than in Axamer Lizum yesterday. So today you could still enjoy quite untracked slopes with short climbing passages in good powder with a slight wind influence. It was probably 30-40cm. On extremely steep east-facing slopes, the snow was already alarmingly wet at 11am.
Wind drifted snow
Intensity: low
Above: 1900 m
Risks
Wind intensity: No Wind (0 km/h)
The wind was working, but less intensively than I had expected. However, blasting successes could be seen. Depending on the expo and terrain, rocks are an issue. You should also keep an eye on overly reckless riders who drop into extremely steep north-facing gullies above you, regardless of the avalanche situation.
Overall impression
Nice day in the ski area with a few fresh turns - although a lot of things were already chopped up yesterday. You can look forward to the refill!
