Variations of snow cover

Just like last time. Poor snow conditions for the time of year, but you can go full throttle on most slopes without fear of rocks. We weren't on the south side today, but not much should have changed since last week: there are plenty of sharks lurking below 2200m. On the north side, you can swim in the powder without any worries.

Wind drifted snow

Stormy winds have blown the snow a lot. Nevertheless, it was nice powdering today. However, you didn't sink in particularly deep and there were only faceshots with strong braking turns. The drifting snow was easy to ride without having to be careful not to cut through it. Old tracks were more blown over than snowed in, but didn't really bother us.

Wind intensity: High (40 – 60 km/h)

Extensive accumulations of drift snow and signs of wind were visible today. You have to watch out for stones near the ridge.

Worse

There were probably better destinations for the nordstau today with more fresh snow, but in Kühtai it was possible to powder passably without stress - even if not quite as deep.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
