There is significantly more snow than in previous weeks. Most of the descents are possible without much contact with rocks and you can get down to the valley. Some places are a bit blown away and you can still get scratches. There is also good snow in the forest, but it is very heavy

However, the 40 cm of fresh snow from Monday and Tuesday is somewhat influenced by the wind at the top. Above 2500m there was good powder snow in the morning, although most of it was already tracked from the previous day. In couloirs it stayed quite good all day. It just got quite warm quickly and below 2500 the snow was quickly crap. Today (9.3) the zero degree line even climbed up to 2800 m.

Risks

Increasing danger of wet snow avalanches due to the warming. But new drift snow has also formed. BRA warns of possible avalanches over 1 meter, even away from terrain close to the crest

You should have been there a day earlier. Less snow than in the north, wind and rising temperatures don't make it easy

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
