Powder snow
Wind drifted snow

Super powder in the lee. A few meters below the ridges/summits/slopes, the wind influence decreases significantly and the snow is mostly unbound fluffy.

Wind drifted snow

Intensity: medium

Risks

North-West

Wind intensity: High (40 – 60 km/h)

As perceived by LLB. Wind influence has decreased with the onset of snowfall, but gusts during the course of the day have certainly moved the snow. The upper 5-10 cm tend to slide off in southeast locations. The snow cover seems much more stable slightly below.

Overall impression

Equal

Surprisingly good freeride day in the Kitzbühel mountains. Up to the Große Beil from the Schönangeralm via Kastensteig, downhill 1st lines through the north gully, up to the Kleine Beil and downhill via east gullies and on into the valley. In wind-protected areas, super powder all the way down to the valley. The forest steps were fine and largely rideable.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
